LDA auctions 18 plots in the city for Rs139.316m

The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) auctioned its 18 commercial and residential plots in several LDA housing schemes in the metropolitan for rupees 139.316 million in a ceremony held in Lahore at LDA Community Center, Garden Town.

LDA is responsible for new planned development in Lahore. It also directs and issues licenses for new construction and housing schemes, private houses, and commercial development. The parks of the beautiful city and green areas are also under the supervision of the authority.

As per the reports, commercial and residential plots of different sizes were auctioned off. The details of the plots are as below:

Jubilee Town

  • An amount of PKR 5.192 million was gathered from the auction of plot number 629/4
  • An amount of PKR 5.274 million was gathered from the auction of commercial plot number 629/6 in Block A
  • A sum of PKR 5.510 million was collected from the auction of commercial plot number 762/2 in Block C
  • PKR 5.970 million was gathered from plot number 762/3 in Block C
  • PKR 9.473 million was acquired from the auction of commercial plot number 633/5 in Block A
  • A sum of PKR 9.932 million was raised from the auction of commercial plot number 804/10 in Block B
  • Johar Town
  • An amount of PKR 10.635 million was raised from the auction of corner plot number 363 in Block M
  • A sum of PKR 9.392 million has been obtained from the auction of a commercial plot number 363-A located in Block M
  • A total of PKR 9.093 million was collected from the auction of commercial plot number 363-B located in Block M
  • Sabzazar
  • A sum of PKR 7.920 million was collected from the auction of commercial plot number 194 situated in Block N
  • A total of PKR 7.95 million has been gathered from the auction of a commercial plot number 194-B located in Block N

Moreover, its website says that it intends on making Lahore “one of the thirty leading educational, cultural, commercial, industrial, and information technology centers of the world by 2020”
