Islamabad, Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced that the allottees would get possession once the development works in three sub-sectors of Islamabad I-15 are completed.

The possession would be granted to some 5000 allottees after a long delay of 15 years as the authority’s management was paying special attention to the construction and development of the city, the CDA spokesman said.

The development work in sectors I-15/1, I-15/3, and I-15/4 comprises sewerage network, drainage system, construction of culverts, streets, street lights, and other residential facilities would be completed, he added.

The spokesperson further said that those plot owners who were not able to construct houses on their plots for a long time would now be able to build houses on their plots.

Meanwhile, completion of development works in the areas would also help in meeting the increasing housing needs in the city, he remarked.

It is to be noted that the sector was delayed for decades because of the non-completion of development work however the present CDA administration had completed the work by solving the disputes, he mentioned.

Last year, CDA management had decided to grant possession letters of the two much-awaited sectors I-15-1 and I-15-3, to the allottees.

According to the sources, theCDA allotment letter of the two sectors was given in 2005 but because of certain inevitable circumstances, the development of the sectors could not be executed and the progress on the development work remained pending. Consequently, 3000 allottees got affected by this unprecedented delay. The CDA chairman directed the officials to ensure the timely and speedy completion of the development work.

Though, the possession of sub-sector I-15-2 was still pending. The tenders of this sector would also be issued shortly so that the possession of this sector might also be granted to the allottees on an urgent basis, the official told the media.
